Captain Wes and the catamaran

McCall spent childhood visits fishing St. George Island with his father and grandfather and made the island his permanent home in 2010. His biography lists a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s license and service with the island’s volunteer fire department.

The Twin Vee has twin 140-horsepower Suzuki engines, radar and other fishing electronics. Trip choices range from bay fishing for redfish, trout and tripletail to offshore opportunities for snapper, grouper, mackerel, cobia and amberjack.

Published trip prices

Four-hour bay fishing is listed at $500 for four people, with additional passengers at $75 each to a maximum of six. The five-hour state-water offshore trip is $900 for four, plus $100 for each additional person. Federal offshore trips are listed at $1,300 for six hours or $1,600 for eight hours for four people; confirm extra-person pricing for those trips.

Family adventures combine fishing with island exploration, shelling or dolphins. The listed four-hour family outing is $500 for four, with $75 extra passengers. Dedicated shelling and shorter sightseeing options are also offered.

Included supplies and booking

Fishing charters include rods, reels, tackle, bait, license coverage, fish cleaning, bottled water and a cooler with ice for personal refreshments. Bring snacks, other drinks, a hat and sunscreen. Shelling trips list a collecting bucket and identification card.

Call or email to settle the itinerary, meeting place, final price and cancellation terms. The Sawyer Street address is explicitly a mailing address, so do not assume it is the boarding point. State-water and federal trips are separately priced products; specify which one you want when booking.
