Casting Tales in Islamorada

Casting Tales is Captain Jeremy Chavez’s traveling fly-fishing and light-tackle guide service. Jeremy is based in Houston and also lists Florida and Louisiana trips. This is a seasonal destination option, so confirm his Florida schedule before making travel plans around a charter.

Contact and booking details

Florida availability

The website lists Florida and Everglades guiding alongside Texas and Louisiana services, with Islamorada referenced among its destinations. Ask for the exact Florida fishing area, dates and launch point. A booking in another state should not be confused with a Keys reservation.

Published fare

The 2026 rate page lists Florida guiding at $900 per day. It requests a 50 percent deposit per day to reserve a trip. Confirm the duration, guest limit, boat and any travel-related costs in the written quote.

Equipment and preparation

The operator supplies tackle, including rods, reels, flies, leaders, tippet and lures. Photos or video from the trip are also listed. Guests are asked to bring an appropriate fishing license. Confirm the specific Florida requirements and all food, drink and equipment arrangements with Jeremy.

Cancellation terms

Guest cancellations forfeit the deposit, and cancellations within 14 days are charged in full under the published policy. Captain-canceled trips can be refunded or moved to another date. Cancellations must be sent in writing by email. Confirm those terms on the actual Florida booking.

Details checked September 29, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
