Cloud Nine Charters offers Islamorada fishing with Captain Greg Eklund. Greg’s operation serves families, individual fishing groups and corporate outings. It has both a large offshore sportfisher and a smaller flats skiff, allowing very different kinds of fishing days.

Two boats

Cloud Nine is a custom 48-foot South Florida sportfisher powered by twin 2021 MAN diesel engines. Little Nine is a 16-foot Hell’s Bay flats skiff for shallow-water work. Confirm the boat, captain, passenger allowance and amenities attached to your reservation.

Published rates

Offshore trips start at $1,200 for a half day and $2,200 for a full day. Custom swordfish trips start at $3,000. Backcountry trips list $550 for a half day and $850 for a full day for two people, with extra-person charges. Ask for the complete quote and agreed hours.

Fishing and instruction

The operator supplies tackle and fishing-license coverage and emphasizes hands-on fishing with crew guidance. Personal tackle is welcome by arrangement. Ask about bait, ice, drinks, cleaning and gratuity. The offshore and flats options should be booked around the species and experience you want.
