Shell Yeah Charters is Captain Pat McElreath’s Carrabelle fishing business aboard U Know. McElreath moved into guiding after more than 30 years of recreational fishing and offers both offshore trips and shorter bay outings.

The operator lists federal reef and pelagic charter permits for U Know. Offshore trips target fish such as snapper, grouper, amberjack, kingfish, cobia and mahi-mahi. Bay and nearshore outings focus on species including redfish, trout, flounder, sheepshead and Spanish mackerel.

The captain welcomes different experience levels and adapts trips to conditions and guest interests. Shelling, island hopping and river eco-tours provide a non-fishing alternative.

Rates and party sizes

Offshore prices are $1,150 for six hours, $1,300 for eight and $1,600 for ten, based on up to four people. A fifth guest is $100 extra; additional offshore hours are listed at $150 each.

The four-hour bay or nearshore option is $600 for up to four. A four-hour island-hopping or eco-tour is also $600 but allows up to six. Those different capacities apply to different trip types, so specify the itinerary when booking.

Included items and policies

Offshore information includes bait, tackle, ice, fuel and bottled water, and says fish cleaning is offered. Confirm license coverage and any processing charges for your chosen outing. Bring food, personal refreshments and weather-appropriate sun protection.

A $150 deposit secures the reservation, with the balance payable in cash or Venmo on the day. Customer cancellations require at least seven days’ notice for a deposit refund.
