The guides behind Blue Sky

The captain biographies name Nick Dorado, Josh Sapp, Daryl Paul and Riley Syfrett. Nick grew up fishing and spearfishing with his father near Panama City Beach, worked as a divemaster and began independent guiding in 2015.

Josh and Nick have a longtime fishing and diving friendship. Daryl is a local captain with firefighter and EMT work in his background. Riley's biography includes military service and captaining larger boats in Hawaii. Ask which guide is assigned if a particular captain is part of your plan.

El Dorado and Free Diver

El Dorado is a 27-foot twin-hull center console with twin Yamaha 150 engines. The fleet page describes a small toilet area under the console. Free Diver is a 27-foot Parker with a cabin for shade and shelter.

Both have a published six-person limit. Fishing gear, licenses, bait, tackle, fuel and the guide are included. Ask which vessel better suits the group's need for a cabin or open fishing space before choosing a date solely on price.

Gulf fishing and fare differences

The main price description lists four hours at $900 and additional time at $225 an hour. The fleet page separately advertises eight hours at $1,600. Those figures do not produce the same total if the hourly extension is applied, so obtain the boat's current package quote.

The menu highlights Gulf fish such as snapper, grouper, triggerfish, cobia and mahi. Legal seasons and the day's conditions affect what can be targeted or kept. The operator describes cleaning the catch, but the final plan should be agreed with the crew.

The office is not the departure dock

Blue Sky's office is on Watercolor Way in Santa Rosa Beach. Its current contact page directs guests to Point South Marina Baypoint at Hatteras Lane in Panama City Beach. An older about page gives JDF Marina on Bay Shore Drive, making dock confirmation necessary.

Call or email before planning the drive from 30A. Request the slip, arrival time, deposit and cancellation terms. Bring your food and drinks as instructed and allow for the journey to Panama City Beach. Reserve the preferred boat's cabin or toilet arrangement explicitly if those features are important to someone in the group.

Details checked October 10, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
