The Lisa L fishing boat

Lisa L is a renovated 45-foot Custom Key West Number One sportfish with a 16-foot beam. Published features include shaded cushioned seating, a bathroom, modern electronics and a Caterpillar engine. The fishing charters carry a maximum of six passengers.

Puller grew up around Crandon’s charter dock and later worked on private boats and tournament crews. Teaching is a central part of his biography. Families can ask for a trip that balances fishing instruction with the attention span and comfort of younger guests.

What a charter can target

The FAQ lists sailfish, king mackerel, mahi, tuna, barracuda, amberjack and bottom fish among regular possibilities. Specialty plans can pursue swordfish, tarpon, permit or other fish. The captain may stop for additional live bait before selecting the offshore grounds.

Half-day, full-day and specialty charters are offered, but the reviewed rate page does not give a complete adult charter price schedule. Ask for the exact hours and fare. Legal edible fish can be cleaned, bagged and iced after the trip.

Children’s trips and camp

The site lists selected children’s trips at $250 per child and parent-and-child trips at $250 per person, with lunch included. These scheduled programs are separate from renting the boat privately. Dates and availability must be checked in advance.

The camp FAQ sets a minimum age of seven and says no previous fishing experience or personal tackle is needed. Its program has its own weather, attendance and refund rules. Parents should review those terms and discuss allergies, life-jacket fit and any medical needs directly.

Food, payment and weather

Standard charter information says the price includes supplies except food, drinks and gratuity, while the FAQ specifies bottled water is provided. Catering can be arranged for a fee. Bring non-marking shoes, sun protection and a cooler bag for fish.

The private-charter cancellation deadline is 48 hours; later cancellation forfeits the deposit unless the captain makes a weather decision. Unfavorable conditions may result in a no-cost cancellation or reschedule. Confirm the terms for your reservation, since camp policies differ from ordinary charters.

Details checked October 4, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
