A waterman’s background
Bozzella grew up near Montauk and worked as a commercial bayman before a twenty-year Navy career. He retired as a Chief Bosun. Offshore fishing around Mayport and time in the Keys eventually led him toward backcountry guiding.
His biography includes redfish tournament results and the development of TBS Lures and Jigs. That background supports his interest in helping guests understand tackle and presentation.
Trips and prices
Four hours is listed at $600 for two anglers or $650 for three. Extended trips, night fishing and multi-boat events can be arranged. He fishes an 18-foot skiff, with the ramp chosen around the tide and target.
Redfish and trout are frequent interests, alongside flounder and other local species. Anglers may cast lures, fish shrimp on jigs or use fly tackle.
Preparing for the skiff
The boat has drinks and light snacks but no bathroom; shore stops can be arranged. Bring food, polarized glasses, sun protection and suitable clothing. Ask about the license and equipment coverage for your booking.
Bozzella discusses each outing with guests before meeting. Explain your casting experience, children’s needs or mobility concerns during that call. Request the current deposit and cancellation terms as well as the final departure directions.
Details checked October 9, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
