Joe Driscoll’s fishing background

Driscoll grew up beside a Massachusetts lake and had his first boat at eleven. After moving to Florida in 2000, he developed a lasting interest in saltwater fishing. His current charter draws on that local experience.

The listed boat is a 2023 Sea Hunt center console with a 300-horsepower Yamaha. The operator limits it to four guests for fishing space and comfort.

What the day may target

Depending on the route and season, published targets include redfish, flounder, black drum, kingfish, cobia, amberjack and several snapper species. Bottom fishing is a main method, with trolling used when appropriate fish are present.

Discuss the intended distance and species before choosing a date. The website’s broad fish list covers different conditions and does not mean every fish is a realistic target on every outing.

Supplies and catch handling

Rods, reels, bait, tackle and an iced cooler are provided. The captain’s charter license covers the fishing party. Legal fish kept by guests are cleaned and packed on ice.

Bring sandwiches, snacks, bottled water, sunglasses and sunscreen lotion. Moderate alcohol is allowed, but glass bottles and hard liquor are not.

The launch is different from the contact address

Trips depart from Vilano Boat Landing, where Joe meets guests near the covered picnic tables. The separate Salt Cay Place address on the site is a business contact address, not the advertised launch.

Use the booking calendar or contact Joe for a current trip quote. Confirm hours, payment conditions and the weather policy with him, along with the departure time.

Details checked October 9, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
