Chris Murray’s local background

Chris lives in Stuart and says he has fished the surrounding waters since 1995. He completed training at Chapman School of Seamanship and obtained his six-passenger operator license in 2019. Crossroads was established that same year.

The guide’s published approach is a relaxed, personal trip for anglers visiting the area. Explain your experience and the ages of any children when requesting a date. His captain’s license category is not the same as a confirmed passenger allowance for this particular boat.

A bay boat with useful fishing tools

The Ranger has side-view sonar, a spot-lock trolling motor and a jack plate. Sonar helps the guide read what is below and beside the boat. The trolling motor can hold position, while the jack plate helps adjust the outboard for the water being fished.

This is a smaller open fishing boat, so ask about seating, shade and comfort for your party. The guide should confirm how many anglers can fish effectively together and whether the expected conditions suit the plan. Offshore possibilities depend on the sea state and selected itinerary.

Snook, tarpon and other possibilities

The operator lists snook, tarpon, trout and redfish on the inshore side of its program. Sailfish, cobia and permit also appear among the advertised targets. Those names describe the range of trips and opportunities, not a catch list that applies to every departure.

Tell Chris which fish interests you most, then ask what is realistic at the time of your visit. A sheltered-water plan and an outing beyond the inlet need different conditions. Agree on the fishing area and likely methods before settling the length of the reservation.

Book directly with the captain

The contact page provides the 561 phone number and Gmail address listed above. Use those details to request availability, trip duration and price. Confirm the launch point, included fishing gear and bait, license coverage, and any fish-cleaning service in the same conversation.

Public pages do not spell out a complete rate or cancellation schedule. Ask for the deposit, customer-cancellation deadline and weather policy before paying. Arrange what food and drinks to bring, and let Chris know if your group needs help boarding or has other practical requirements.

Details checked October 4, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
