Captain Fischer’s path to the helm
Fischer’s biography traces his fishing background through three generations of his Florida family. He began paid deckhand work on local drift boats at sixteen, then worked as a mate on the Billin’ Office out of Miami. He later earned a 100-ton Master’s license and ran the Freespool in North Miami.
His experience also includes commercial swordfishing, private sportfishing boats and tournament crews. The current Fish Wrangler service brings those different methods to a private charter. Tell him how involved you want to be, whether that means learning the tackle or concentrating on a particular technique.

The boat and equipment
The Contender 33T is a center console with a large fishing deck and two live wells. The open layout gives the crew room to work live baits and helps anglers follow a fish around the boat.
The reviewed pages do not clearly state the passenger limit or a fixed departure address. Confirm both before organizing a group. Also ask about shade, a restroom and boarding assistance if those features will affect your choice.
Choosing a fishing program
Offshore choices run four, six or eight hours. The operator describes trolling for mahi, kite fishing for sailfish and fishing reefs or wrecks. Its snapper trips focus on yellowtail, mutton and mangrove snapper. Day and night options are advertised.
Swordfish and captain’s-choice trips are described as ten-hour outings. The latter lets Fischer build a plan around the most promising current opportunity. Inshore trips instead work protected canals and waterways for tarpon, snook and jacks. That can be a useful alternative when a long offshore run does not suit your group.
Prices and booking questions
The trip cards all display a starting figure of $599, including the longer specialties. Treat that as a starting-price prompt and request the exact cost for your chosen duration and target. It is not enough information to assume a ten-hour swordfish trip costs the same as a shorter charter.
Listed inclusions are tackle, live and frozen bait, a drink box, water, non-consumable ice and cleaning and bagging of the catch. Ask about fishing-license coverage and gratuity, plus the deposit and weather policy. Text the captain with your preferred date, party size and fishing priorities to begin planning.
Details checked October 4, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
