Jacob Hardy’s local background

Hardy grew up fishing St. Augustine with his father. After graduating from the University of North Florida in 2017, he pursued a full-time career on the water. His biography describes a 100-ton Master license and experience in Florida, the Bahamas and Central America.

Compare the boats and trip costs

The Canyon Bay menu lists four-hour inshore and offshore trips at $700, six-hour offshore trips at $1,000 and eight-hour trips at $1,500. Those prices cover four anglers. The inshore plan uses light tackle and live bait in creeks and tributaries for fish such as redfish, trout, flounder and drum.

The Orion menu lists six hours at $1,500, eight at $2,000 and ten at $2,500. Base prices cover four anglers, with an option to add guests up to six at checkout. Ask about the added cost. Offshore targets vary from kingfish, cobia and snapper to mahi or wahoo on suitable longer outings.

Private trips and larger parties

Ordinary fishing reservations are private. Fishardy also coordinates several boats for larger groups and maintains a waiting list for solo anglers interested in sharing. These are separate arrangements that need discussion before booking.

Although six passengers may fit an eligible trip, the FAQ says the crew usually fishes four lines at once to limit tangles. Passenger capacity does not mean everyone will always have a rod in the water.

At the marina

Bait, tackle, licenses and fish cleaning are included. Bring snacks, drinks, a hat and suitable clothing. The operator asks guests to avoid glass bottles and spray sunscreen. At the Conch House, take the first left onto the floating docks and meet near the ramp base, unless your confirmation says otherwise.

The captain decides when conditions are unsafe. In that case the business seeks a new date or cancels without a penalty. Call or text Hardy about weather, a particular species or the final boarding instructions.

Details checked October 9, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
