Meet Jason Cochran
Jason owns and operates the business. His introduction describes more than 15 years of fishing experience and nearly a decade guiding around New Port Richey and Anclote. He lists a USCG 25 GT Master credential. His stated approach is to adjust the outing to the people aboard, rather than make every group follow the same plan.
Children are an important part of that approach. The website welcomes kids age four and older and describes his volunteer experience at children's fishing camps. Changing scenery, a look at the live bait and simple fishing tasks can help younger guests stay interested. Tell him the children's ages before choosing your trip.

Fishing the Pasco coast
Redfish, snook, spotted seatrout, flounder, sheepshead and tarpon appear in the charter's fishing information. These are possible targets, with the day's conditions deciding which fish are practical. The service covers New Port Richey, Port Richey and nearby Gulf waters, including the Anclote area.
JC uses both live bait and artificial lures. Shrimp and pinfish are among the bait examples on his site. His scalloping FAQ identifies a 19-foot Florida Fisher with a tower. Confirm the boat and passenger limit for your selected fishing package, especially if seating, shade or a larger family group matters to you.
Trip lengths and what comes with them
The fishing FAQ describes four- to eight-hour outings, with a two-hour option also available. Rods, reels, tackle, bait and charter license coverage are included. A longer reservation can give the captain more time to work different water, while a short outing may suit a young family's attention span.
Fishing prices depend on the package and party size, so ask JC for a dated quote. Bring your own snacks and drinks, along with a hat, sunscreen and suitable clothing. The service advertises selected discounts for military members, veterans and first responders. Ask whether a discount applies to the trip you are considering.
Scallops and sunset outings
The separate scalloping page lists a four-hour trip at $450 and a two-hour beginner outing at $250. Those listed prices cover four guests, with $50 for each additional guest up to six. Masks, snorkels, fins, collection bags and a dive flag are advertised for scalloping. Check the current package before paying.
Scalloping is seasonal, so its availability is different from ordinary fishing. Confirm the legal Pasco County dates for the year of your visit. Sunset cruises provide another option for a group that mainly wants time on the Gulf without a full fishing session.
Contact and booking questions
Phone or email Jason to discuss the date, target fish and number of anglers. The website also provides online booking links. His published street address is contact information, so get separate launch and parking instructions before driving to meet the boat.
The FAQ says unsafe weather can lead to rescheduling. It does not spell out a complete deposit amount, refund deadline or cancellation fee. Have those terms confirmed with your reservation. Tides also influence the fishing plan, so a suitable start time may be more useful than simply selecting the earliest opening.
Details checked October 11, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
