Mark Hall’s guiding background
Hall was born in Louisiana, grew up partly in Pennsylvania and moved to Miami as a teenager. He became a licensed captain in his early twenties and built his guiding around peacock bass and saltwater flats fishing. His biography describes more than twenty years guiding.
Both new and experienced anglers are welcome. Hall supplies fly or spinning tackle and allows suitable personal gear by arrangement. His stated aim is a patient, enjoyable day, including instruction when guests need help with a cast or presentation.

Bay fishing and peacock bass
The saltwater program can pursue bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, barracuda, jacks and other Biscayne Bay fish. Shallow-water trips may involve poling and sight casting. Weather and the season affect what makes a sensible target.
The freshwater option explores the canal system for peacock bass. Hall also discusses custom combinations that spend one day on the flats and another in freshwater. These are separate days, not a promise to cover both fisheries in a standard single-day fare.
Published trip prices
The rates page lists eight hours on Biscayne Bay at $700 and six hours at $600. An eight-hour peacock bass trip is $600. Confirm availability, passenger numbers and whether bait or other additions change the price.
The reviewed pages do not give a current boat specification or a detailed inclusion list beyond tackle. Ask about licenses, drinks, ice, shade and seating before deciding. Bring the food and personal supplies agreed with Mark.
A catch-and-release outing
Hall explicitly says these charters are for sport and experience rather than filling a cooler. That is useful to know before booking a family dinner around the catch. Tell him whether you prefer fly or spin fishing and how much experience you have.
Call or text for the departure location and start time. Ask for payment, cancellation and weather terms in writing. A freshwater canal trip and a Biscayne Bay outing may meet in different places, so use the details for your chosen reservation.
Details checked October 4, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
