Fishing with Charles Turner
Charles is the owner and captain named on the company's introduction and contact details. Trips are customized for beginners or experienced anglers. The fishing menu includes offshore, reef, wreck and tarpon outings.
Offshore trips are described at six to eight hours, allowing time to reach mahi and tuna grounds. Reef and wreck descriptions feature snapper, grouper, amberjack and barracuda. Tell Charles what matters most so the route fits your party rather than following the broadest possible list of species.

The SeaVee and lobster boat
The 34-foot SeaVee is listed with a full bathroom, shower and seating on the sandbar page. Verify the fishing passenger allowance and current equipment when reserving. The service says rods, reels and bait are provided for fishing.
Lobster Tail is a separate custom 17-foot bully-net boat with a low profile, flat bottom and Suzuki 90. Bright lights help the crew locate lobsters in shallow water at night. Guests net them from aboard rather than diving, with trips limited to lawful lobster seasons and areas.
Tarpon and sandbar choices
The operator highlights late March through early July for its tarpon opportunities, with May and June emphasized. That is a fishing opportunity window, not a guarantee of seeing or landing tarpon. Ask Charles about the tide and start time for your date.
Sandbar fares are listed at $550 for four hours, $750 for six and $950 for eight on the SeaVee. Fuel, ice and water are included in those leisure packages, with gratuity separate. Request fishing and lobster quotes individually because the sandbar price does not establish their fare.
Getting the trip ready
Call Charles or email info@outboundcharters.com with your preferred activity and group size. The contact address is on Overseas Highway in Marathon. Obtain the exact marina slip and arrival details with the reservation.
Ask which fishing licenses, cleaning services, drinks and bait are covered by the chosen package. Confirm the deposit and weather refund policy before paying. If combining fishing with a stop at Valhalla Sandbar, agree on the time split. A swim break is enjoyable for some groups, but it changes how much of the trip remains available for the fishing grounds.
Details checked October 10, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
