Max Williams and the service area
Max's biography says he started Redwater in 2024 after moving to the Emerald Coast for work. His guiding menu includes fly fishing, light tackle and offshore fishing. Beginners, families and experienced anglers can discuss a trip suited to their interests.
Inshore outings stay within the St. Andrews Bay system. Offshore descriptions cover Gulf water between Mexico Beach and Grayton Beach. Those areas are the fishing range, not separate promised departure docks. The boats are based at JDF Marina near the Hathaway Bridge.

Two boats and different guest limits
The Sportsman 282TE has twin Yamaha 300 engines and a private head inside the console. It is advertised for six anglers. The inshore Hewes Light Tackle 20 has a Mercury 150 and a poling platform, with room for two anglers and their equipment.
Redwater describes some ability to accommodate guests with mobility limitations. Discuss the actual boarding steps and movement aboard before reserving. The two boats have different space and fishing roles, so a general accessibility statement is not enough to decide suitability.
Fishing policies and family options
The company practices catch and release for redfish and trout on inshore trips. Offshore guests can keep fish where the regulations permit. Professional rods, reels, tackle and bait are supplied. The FAQ tells guests to bring a valid Florida license, so confirm the exact licensing requirement for your booking.
Dedicated children's outings last two or three hours and advertise calmer inshore fishing for up to six participants. That differs from the two-angler skiff allowance. Ask which vessel runs the children's package. Longer choices extend as far as a 16-hour blue-water trolling day.
Arrange the package by phone
Current fares should be obtained from Max at 706-566-7469. State the group's size, experience, tackle preference and children's ages. Request the quoted boat, hours, deposit and cancellation terms rather than assuming one policy covers every type of trip.
Guests bring water, food, sunscreen and towels for children's outings. Dangerous weather can mean rescheduling, with the operator discussing conditions before departure. Confirm the financial terms for a weather change. Follow the marina directions and look for the agreed boat in the slips opposite the bathrooms.
Details checked October 10, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
