A Marine veteran turned fishing guide

Soucy retired from the Marine Corps after 22 years and moved to Fernandina Beach in 2003. He obtained his captain license in 2005 and developed his business while fishing regional redfish tournaments.

His current boat description lists a 2021 Sportsman Tournament 234 with a Yamaha 250, Minn Kota trolling motor, twin Power-Pole anchors, electronics and a shaded T-top. The charter accepts up to four guests.

Trip lengths and targets

The rate page lists four hours at $500, six at $750 and eight at $1,000 for one to four people. A two-hour children’s trip is $350. Sightseeing is separately listed at $175 an hour.

Backwater fishing uses spinning tackle and baits such as shrimp, mud minnows and finger mullet for redfish, trout, flounder and sheepshead. Trips aimed at bull redfish or sharks may work deeper water near the sound or jetties. Tarpon is a seasonal request that should be discussed before reserving.

Special red-snapper trips appear on the rate page for limited dates. Ask Soucy about currently available dates and rules instead of treating a dated promotion as a year-round option.

Included supplies and family needs

Fishing licenses, rods, reels, tackle, bait and ice are included. The FAQ also describes water and complimentary cleaning of legal fish on inshore trips. Guests bring food and any other beverages.

Bathroom breaks can be arranged at a marina or ramp, although they take time away from fishing. Tell Brian about children’s ages and any special needs before departure. Keep bags small because onboard storage is limited.

Reserve and locate the boat

Call, text or email with your dates and preferred outing. Request the final departure time, deposit terms and weather arrangements. Confirm the Dock 4 slip before heading down the marina.

Details checked October 9, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
