Top Gun and Top Gun II

The fleet page identifies Top Gun as a 41-foot Hatteras and Top Gun II as a 45-foot Hatteras. Both have air-conditioned salons, bathrooms, galleys, towers and live-bait wells. Custom rods and Daiwa reels are part of the fishing setup.

Fishing charters carry at most six passengers. The boats support kite fishing, trolling, live bait, deep dropping and wreck fishing. Speak with Nel about the method that best suits your group rather than choosing only by boat size.

Published prices and hours

Five-hour half days are listed at $1,200, generally 7 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Full days run approximately eight to ten hours and are listed at $1,800. Swordfish trips are advertised at $2,600.

A twilight tuna option is described for late April through June. Tournament fishing is listed at $2,000 plus bait, while Bahamas and other custom trips require an individual quote. Confirm the operating schedule and price before relying on a seasonal page.

Bait and gratuity affect the total

Standard inclusions are licenses, tackle, dead bait and ice. The crew can catch live bait on the way out, or arrange for it to be waiting aboard at an additional charge. That choice affects both cost and how the first part of the trip is spent.

The charter-information page states that a 20 percent mate tip is added to the bill. Food and refreshments can also be arranged for a fee. Otherwise, bring your own meals and drinks; coolers and a refrigerator are available.

Deposit and cancellation rules

The published deposit is $300. The FAQ describes a refund for ordinary cancellations at least seven days ahead and for captain-cancelled unsafe weather. Corporate and multiple-boat reservations have separate advance-payment and cancellation restrictions.

Departure times may be adjusted when the schedule allows. Confirm the marina slip and arrival instructions with Nel. The crew encourages releasing sailfish and marlin, and can arrange a replica mount using measurements rather than requiring the fish to be killed.

Details checked October 4, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
