From local pier fishing to guiding

Captain Kenny grew up fishing Pensacola Bay, Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf. His biography describes years on the Pensacola Beach Gulf Fishing Pier and an early interest in spring cobia fishing. He began chartering in 2012.

The Ameracat gives the business a platform for both bay and offshore fishing. Trips leave from Pensacola Beach Marina, where guests can meet at the same address listed in the contact table. The operator recommends arriving ten minutes before pickup.

Where the trips fish

Inshore trips work Pensacola Bay, Santa Rosa Sound and Big Lagoon. Redfish, trout, flounder and black drum are among the local possibilities. Offshore trips move into the Gulf for reef and open-water species, depending on conditions and the season.

Kenny’s FAQ lists snapper, grouper, amberjack, triggerfish, king mackerel and other fish among the regional targets. That is a range of possibilities across different trips. Let him know whether you prefer a bay outing or a longer Gulf run before booking.

Trip prices and additional anglers

The posted two-hour afternoon trip costs $400 for up to four people. Four hours is $600. Offshore options are $800 for five hours, $1,000 for six, $1,600 for eight and $2,000 for ten.

A fifth and sixth guest can be added within the six-person limit. The extra charge is $35 per person on the two-hour trip, $75 on the four-hour trip and $100 on the listed offshore trips. Confirm that these rates still apply to your date and ask for the deposit and cancellation terms.

What comes with the charter

The captain supplies rods, reels, tackle, bait, licenses, fuel and ice. Fish cleaning and bagging are included without a separate cleaning charge. The boat has a cooler for the food and drinks you bring.

Leave an extra cooler in your vehicle for taking fish home. Pack lunch or snacks, drinking water, sunscreen and layers for a cool start. Rain gear can be useful even when the harbor is sunny.

Making the outing fit your group

Beginners and families are welcome. The operator prefers its prepared tackle but allows guests to discuss bringing a favorite rod. If your group finishes fishing early, ask in advance about using part of the reserved time for sightseeing or an island stop. Those activities still depend on the schedule, conditions and captain’s approval.

Details checked October 1, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
