Captain Matt Davis and family trips

Matt is named throughout the sailfish and charter pages. The crew welcomes experienced anglers, beginners and families. A first mate helps with fishing tasks and guest needs during the outing.

The main seasonal highlights are mahi during warmer periods and sailfish in cooler months. Snapper, grouper, kingfish, tuna, wahoo, cobia and amberjack appear as other targets. Tell Matt your main interest so he can choose between reef fishing and a farther offshore search.

The Henriques and fishing methods

The 44-foot Henriques has a roomy cockpit and a salon with a dinette and couch. Air conditioning provides somewhere to cool down between fishing opportunities. The charter maximum is six people; larger parties can ask about additional boats.

Live bait is favored for many targets. Trolling, kite fishing, anchoring, jigging and deep dropping are described among the methods. Penn rods and reels, bait, tackle, fishing license coverage, a cooler with ice and legal-catch cleaning are included. Personal tackle can also be discussed.

Trip lengths and conflicting posted prices

The rate page offers four-hour half days, six-hour three-quarter days and eight-hour full days. It shows conflicting prices for the same four- and eight-hour descriptions: four hours appears at both $900 and $1,300, and eight at $1,500 and $2,200. The six-hour listing is $1,150.

Get Matt's current quote for the exact trip instead of selecting one of those conflicting figures as definitive. The route and fishing goal should be part of the quote. A short reef outing and a deeper offshore plan require different expectations even when booked aboard the same boat.

Deposit and marina directions

A $400 deposit is stated at reservation. The balance is charged to the card on file on the trip date. Customer cancellations outside 48 hours receive the deposit back; inside that period it is nonrefundable. The captain decides whether severe weather calls for delaying, rescheduling or canceling, with a deposit refund for a canceled trip.

Bring lunch or snacks, preferred beverages, a hat, sunscreen and polarized glasses. Gratuity is separate. Contact Matt to confirm the dock at Bud n' Mary's and arrival time. The air-conditioned salon is useful for breaks, but ask about any specific access or comfort needs before paying.

Details checked October 10, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
