PJ Riggs' path to Destin

PJ grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma, and moved to Destin after high school to work on fishing boats. His biography describes learning aboard party boats, center consoles and larger sportfishers before starting Testify. He especially enjoys introducing children to saltwater fishing.

The operator welcomes families, experienced anglers and private social groups. A fishing outing can combine trolling with bottom fishing. Tell PJ whether you want a family pace or a longer offshore effort so the hours and route are chosen accordingly.

Speakeasy's facilities and tackle

The 34-foot Hatteras has an interior sleeping area, bathroom, kitchen with sink and refrigerator, lounge and cobia tower. Bluetooth audio is also listed. The guest allowance is six for both the fishing and sunset packages.

Shimano and Penn spinning and conventional gear, bait, lures and tackle are supplied. The service also lists fishing licenses, a cooler with ice, bottled water and legal-catch cleaning. A hook-and-cook option aboard can be arranged by asking the captains, rather than assumed as part of every fare.

Offshore prices by the hour

The published offshore schedule starts at $1,200 for four hours. It increases by $300 for each additional hour: six is $1,800, eight $2,400, ten $3,000 and twelve $3,600. The price covers the private group within the six-person limit.

Snapper, grouper, amberjack, mahi, cobia, kingfish and wahoo appear in the trip description. Longer outings allow farther travel and more time at the grounds, but the fishing plan follows conditions and regulations. Confirm fuel and gratuity arrangements with the full quote.

Sunset trips and what to bring

A two-hour private sunset cruise is $400 for up to six people. It explores harbor, bay or beach views according to conditions and may offer wildlife sightings. It is a leisure package separate from the offshore fishing fare.

Call PJ to confirm the dock at Harbor Boulevard and obtain the deposit and cancellation rules. Guests bring snacks, lunch and preferred drinks, avoiding glass. Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and suitable clothing are recommended. If keeping fish for a meal matters, discuss available legal targets and the cooking option when reserving rather than waiting until the boat returns.

Details checked October 10, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
