Michael Verniolle's fly-fishing focus

Michael describes years of fishing remote Everglades water and a long interest in fly tying. His custom patterns were developed for South Florida, especially the Everglades and Keys. Fly-tying instruction and fly-design services are also advertised.

A guest can choose fly fishing or lighter spinning tackle. Explain your casting experience when arranging the outing. If the aim is to learn rather than seek one trophy, ask Michael how instruction will be worked into the fishing day.

Two saltwater fishing regions

Everglades trips list tarpon, snook, redfish, spotted seatrout, sheepshead and sharks. The setting is mangrove and backcountry water, with the actual route dependent on the season, wind and target.

Biscayne Bay and Upper Keys trips have a different focus, including bonefish, permit, tarpon and yellow jacks. These are not interchangeable departure areas. Obtain the selected ramp and expected travel requirements before choosing accommodation around the trip.

Freshwater choices are separate

The freshwater service names peacock bass, clown knifefish and snakeheads, with largemouth bass and other fish also discussed. Those outings use different waters and fishing arrangements from the saltwater flats program.

Ask which species is realistic for the date and where the freshwater trip begins. The reviewed pages do not give a complete public rate table, boat specification or guest limit. Request those details rather than transferring assumptions from a Keys skiff charter.

Deposit and cancellation rules

The published deposit is $250 per chartered day. Listed payment methods are Zelle, check, money order or cash. The remaining balance is due on the trip day, with cash preferred. Confirm the total fare before sending the deposit.

The contact page allows a refund or available same-year rescheduling when a customer cancels at least fourteen days ahead. Later cancellation does not qualify for a refund. The captain makes the unsafe-weather decision. Call 305-300-5719 or use the contact form to clarify weather remedies, licenses, permits, equipment, food and drinks. Multi-day plans need a separate deposit and launch arrangement for each day.

Details checked October 10, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
