Happy Day Today and the family crew
The customized Hatteras has twin diesel engines, a central fighting chair and an air-conditioned interior. A refrigerator, ice maker and entertainment equipment are listed among its amenities. The enclosed space offers somewhere to rest between turns on the rods.
David’s biography includes South Florida charter work and fishing in the Bahamas, Caribbean and other international destinations. Beginners and children are welcome. The mate explains the fishing methods after departure, so previous experience is not required.

The published rate schedule
Private rates are $900 for four hours, $1,125 for five, $1,350 for six, $1,800 for eight and $2,600 for ten. Shared trips are listed at $275 per person. Four-hour departures show morning and afternoon choices, while longer trips generally begin earlier.
Swordfish trips are advertised at $2,400. The page’s stated duration and daytime clock times do not fully agree, so confirm the exact hours. Bahamas fishing is also offered, with a longer custom itinerary rather than an ordinary local half day.
Fishing grounds and supplied tackle
The crew fishes reefs, wrecks and offshore water for sailfish, mahi, wahoo, tuna, kingfish, snapper and other species. The company highlights winter and spring sailfish opportunities, but the chosen technique depends on the conditions and the group’s interests.
The inclusion list covers licenses, tackle, rods and reels, dead bait, captain, mate and parking spaces. Beverages, lunch and snacks appear on the bring-your-own list. Ask separately about live bait, gratuity and any specialty-trip expenses.
Holding a date
The published reservation process uses a major credit card to hold the trip. The site says the account is charged after fishing and requests cancellations at least 72 hours ahead. Confirm how late changes and captain-cancelled weather are treated.
Arrive about fifteen minutes before departure so the crew can meet everyone and discuss targets. Groups larger than six can ask about arranging multiple boats. Have the office confirm the slip, parking location and your exact local start time before heading to Bahia Mar.
Details checked October 4, 2026, using the operator’s published information. Rates, boats, meeting points and policies can change; confirm the final trip details directly. Listed species describe possible targets, not a guaranteed catch or an open harvest season.
